Family Life: SUPPORTING

The key to the dynamics of church Family is supporting each other.

(Hebrews 10:23-25) Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works, not staying away from our meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.

1. Hope With One Another

(23) Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering…

   A. We have always been known as a people of hope.
   B. Collectively, we are to “hold on to” our hope.
   C. We are to hold on to our hope “without wavering.”
   D. Our hope is in God’s “promise” of eternal life.

(23) Let us hold on to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

(John 14:2-4) “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if not, I would have told you. I am going away to prepare a place for you. If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come back and receive you to Myself, so that where I am you may be also.”

(Titus 1:1-2) Paul, a slave of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ for the faith of God’s elect and the knowledge of the truth that leads to godliness, in the hope of eternal life that God, who cannot lie, promised…

2. Concern For One Another

(24) And let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works…

   A. To achieve Godly love.
   B. To achieve Godly actions.

3. Encouragement Of Each Other

(25) Not staying away from our meetings, as some habitually do, but encouraging each other…

   A. Sporadic attendance “discourages” the family.
   B. Weekly attendance “encourages” the family.
