We have to love each other.

The Forgotten Commandment: Love Each Other

We have to love each other.

(John 13:34-35) “I give you a new commandment: love one another. Just as I have loved you, you must also love one another. By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

1.  JOIN OUR CROWD

A. The Bible calls our crowd The Church.
(Hebrews 10:24-25) Let us be concerned about one another in order to promote love and good works, not staying away from our meetings, as some habitually do, encouraging each other.
B. You are going to be influenced by the crowd you are around the most.

2.  LOVE OUR WARTS

A. What should we do about the faults we see in each other?
(Luke 6:37) “Do not judge, and you will not be judged.”
(Luke 6:41) “Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but don’t notice the log in your own eye”
B. It’s always a bad idea to dwell on the faults of another.
(Colossians 3:12-14) Therefore, God’s chosen ones, holy and loved, put on heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, accepting one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a complaint against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so also you must forgive. Above all, put on love – the perfect bond of unity.

3. SHAKE OUR HANDS
A. A tangible expression of our love for each other.
(Galatians 2:9) When James, Cephas, and John, recognized as pillars, acknowledged the grace that had been given to me, they gave the right hand of fellowship to me and Barnabas…
B. Show that our love for one another is genuine.

4. WASH OUR FEET
(John 13:12-15) When Jesus had washed their feet and put on His robe, He reclined again and said to them, “Do you know what I have done for you? You call Me Teacher and Lord. This is well said, for I am. So if I your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example that you also should do just as I have done for you. I assure you: A slave is not greater than his master.”
A. We love one another by serving one another.
B. Taking off our bibs and putting on our aprons.

(John 13:35) By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you… LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
