Who: For those who have completed Kinder – 6th Grade (2024-2025 School Year)

What: Sports Camp

When: June 1-4 (Sunday – Wednesday) from 6:00-9:00pm

Where: First Baptist Church Pflugerville

Like Kickball? Frisbee Golf? Flag Football? Maybe 9-Square, Gaga Ball or Relays? We will have all of these and more! Join us for 4 fun filled nights! Kids will be placed on a team with kids in the same grade. Each grade level is a color and it is highly encouraged to come decked out in that color (see colors below.) Each night they will rotate through 3 different sports based on their team’s rotation schedule, hear a Bible story, be provided with a snack and go home with a giveaway item. We have invited Epic Entertainment to come and share the gospel in a fun and interactive way. Yes, Kazoo will be there too! This is an event you won’t want to miss and it’s open to the whole community! We want to encourage you to invite your friends and neighbors.

Volunteers Needed

Sports Camp isn’t just for kids. We need siblings, parents, grandparents, etc. to participate too. We can’t make this event happen without incredible volunteers like you. We need the following:

COACHES AND ASSISTANT COACHES are responsible for teaching a sport to Kindergarten through 6th graders. You will have 1-2 teams per rotation. There are 3 rotations per night. For example: One night you might have a 1st grade team for the first rotation, 4th grade for the second rotation and 2nd grade for the last rotation. 7TH/8TH GRADERS MUST WORK WITH A PARENT IN ORDER TO BE A COACH

LEADERS will travel with their teams to their assigned sports each night, participate in Bible Study, get to know their team, and encourage participation. Teams are divided by grade level. LEADERS MUST BE 8th GRADE OR OLDER. 7TH GRADERS MUST WORK WITH A PARENT TO BE A LEADER.

SECURITY TEAM is responsible for keeping everyone safe. The Security team will be placed at central locations on site to make sure no child is able to leave without being properly checked out and no adult is allowed in. You will also greet parents as they arrive, direct them to the check-in location or new registration. This is a great spot if you want to volunteer, but don’t want to work with kids. You cannot have a younger child working with you in this position. MUST BE 18 OR OLDER.

SNACK TEAM will assist with preparing and delivering the snacks for the kids each day. MUST BE 9TH GRADE OR OLDER.

MEDICAL TEAM must have medical training. This team will mainly be treating heat related incidents and minor cuts/scrapes. MUST BE 18 OR OLDER.

FLOATER/SUB will ‘float’ to an area where someone is out (Ie: sick) which will normally be a coach or leader. This is a great spot for those who want to volunteer, but are only available a couple of days out of the week.
