We must boldly display and declare the Gospel in our everyday life with respect and faithfulness.

Sermon Prayer Guide

“The Trial of a Miracle”

Read for Background & Context: Acts 3

Read through the Passage: Acts 4:1-22

Main Point of the Text

There is Salvation in no other name/person/power/authority but Jesus Christ the Nazarene.

There is salvation in no other name but Jesus Christ.

  • Do you believe in Christ alone?
  • If you know Jesus by grace through faith, are you rejoicing in all that He has done for you?
  • If you know Jesus by grace through faith, are you proclaiming all that He is and has done for salvation?

Personal Application

As Christ’s witnesses indwelt by the Holy Spirit we cannot not speak with boldness about what we have seen and heard regardless of the response.

  • We cannot not speak about Jesus
    • How are you praying for open doors to share the Gospel?
    • Where does the fear of man overwhelm your fear of the Lord and keep you from sharing?
    • Who can you be praying for them to respond to Christ for salvation?
  • We speak with boldness as the Spirit fills us
    • Are you asking God to fill you with the Holy Spirit?
    • Are you looking with confidence to the Holy Spirit for what to say and when to say it?
    • As best you are aware, are you choosing to walk in and by the Spirit’s leadership and power?
  • We declare all we have seen and heard
    • Are you walking with Jesus in a way that you can testify about all you have seen and heard?
    • When you think of sharing your faith, are you faithfully proclaiming the objective truth about who Jesus is and all that He has done?

Prayer Points

  • Pray for any who attend our church but do not know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Pray that their eyes would be opened and that they would place their faith in Christ Jesus.
  • Pray for open doors for us to proclaim the hope of Jesus to our families, friends, neighbors, and more.
  • Pray that we would know the filling power and leadership of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives.
  • Pray that we would resist the discouragement of the world’s opposition but would set our eyes firmly on Jesus Pray that we would walk in the unity and fellowship of the Holy Spirit – seeking to glorify Jesus and do what He says, how He says, wherever and whenever He leads.
