LIVE BOLD

As individuals and as a church, in order to love big – we must live bold.

1. Live Bold – in Persecution for Jesus

(Matthew 10:17-18) “Because people will hand you over to Sanhedrin and flog you in their synagogues, beware of them. You will even be brought before governors and kings because of Me, to bear witness to them and to the nations.”

A. If we truly follow Jesus – we will be persecuted.

B. If we embrace persecution – we will be delivered.

(10:22) “You will be hated by everyone because of My name. But the one who endures to the end will be delivered.”

2. Live Bold – in Witness for Jesus

(10:26) “Therefore, don’t be afraid of them, since there is nothing covered that won’t be uncovered, and nothing hidden that won’t be made known.”

A. Don’t be afraid of those who will persecute you.

(10:27) “What I tell you in the dark, speak in the light. What you hear in a whisper, proclaim on the house-tops.”

A. Be Christ’s witnesses.

3. Live Bold – in Love with Jesus

A. Be outspoken about Jesus.

(10:32-33) “Therefore, everyone who will acknowledge Me before men, I will also acknowledge him before My Father in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven.

• Boldly declaring allegiance to Jesus;
• In front of the unbelievers around us.

B. Be completely devoted to Jesus.

(10:34) “Don’t assume that I came to bring peace on the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.”

(10:35) “For I came to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household.”

(10:37) “The person who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me.”
