As God’s people, the games we play and the gods we serve keep us from being fully and completed devoted to God.

Games & gods

Deuteronomy 5:1-21; 30:16-20

As God’s people, the games we play and the gods we serve keep us from being fully and completed devoted to God. What does it take to get us back to full devotion and commitment to God, His Word, and His way?

A. The Cost

  • Pray without ceasing.
  • Seek first His Kingdom
  • Obey/Honor your parents
  • Do justly. Love mercy. Walk humbly with God.
  • If you love me, keep My commandments.

2. Loss of Holy (5:7-15)

  • Holy God (vv. 7-10)
  • Holy Name (v. 11)
  • Holy Day (v. 15)

  • Family & Marriage (vv. 16, 18)
  • Life (v. 17)
