
A look at the stories leading up to Easter through the eyes of Judas to understand why Jesus was a disappointment to him.
JUDAS: “WHO ARE YOU, JESUS?”
Let’s accept Jesus for who He is.
(Matthew 27:3-5) Then Judas, His betrayer, seeing that He had been condemned, was full of remorse and returned the 30 pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders. “I have sinned by betraying innocent blood,” he said. “What’s that to us?” they said. “See to it yourself!” So he threw the silver into the sanctuary and departed. Then he went and hanged himself.
1. Jesus Will Always Be Himself
A. “I don’t want the biblical Jesus.”
B. “I want a culturally modified Jesus.”
2. Jesus Will Never Be Surprised
A. Jesus created Judas.
B. Jesus knew what Judas would do.
3. Jesus Alone can Restore
A. Sin always leads to regret.
B. All sin is against Jesus.
C. All restoration comes from Jesus.
