Remember why it’s still important to thank God.

(Psalm 92:1-5) It is good to praise the Lord, to sing praise to Your name, Most High, to declare Your faithful love in the morning and Your faithfulness at night, with a ten-stringed harp and the music of a lyre. For You have made me rejoice, Lord, by what You have done; I will shout for joy because of the works of Your hands. How magnificent are Your works…

1. Thank God for His GREATNESS

 

A. God’s Qualifying Names

  • “Creator of Heaven and Earth” (Genesis 14:22)
  • “God Almighty” (Genesis 17:1)
  • “Judge of the Earth” (Genesis 18:25)
  • “Rock of Israel” (Genesis 49:24)
  • “Lord of Lords” (Deuteronomy 10:17)
  • “God of Gods” (Deuteronomy 10:17)
  • “Eternal God” (Deuteronomy 33:27)
  • “My Fortress” (2 Samuel 22:2)
  • “My Deliverer” (Psalm 18:2)
  • “Strong Tower” (Psalm 61:3)
  • “Our Strength” (Psalm 81:1)
  • “Most High” (Psalm 92:1)

B. If God were not great, He would have no authority over our affairs.

2. Thank God for His LOVE

 

A. God loves you!

B. God likes you!

3. Thank God for His FAITHFULNESS

 

A. Another word for faithful is “loyal”.

B. God is passionately loyal to His promises.

4. Thank God for His WORKS

(Psalm 92:4-5) You have made me rejoice, Lord, by what You have done. I will shout for joy because of the works of Your hands. How magnificent are your works.
