The Shocking Conversion

 READ

Background: Acts 6-8

Passage: Acts 9:1-30

 THINK

Main Point: The mission of Jesus cannot be stopped for He is the one who is able to humble and save the hardest, hopeless, and most hostile of hearts.

 APPLY

Personal Application: Since the mission of God cannot be stopped and he is able to save even the hardest of hearts, we must not despair of others nor heed any condemnation but remain focused and faithful on His mission.

  • God is mighty to save the most hard, hopeless, and hostile of hearts.
    • Do you know someone whose heart is hard to Jesus?
    • Are you praying for them?
    • Are there ways Jesus is calling you to minister to them?
  • God is mighty to use His children.
    • Do you know that God desires to work and minister thru you?
    • Are you listening to God’s voice in your life or do you find yourself listening more to the voice of condemnation which says there is no way God would you someone like you?
    • Where is God calling you to step forward but you are feeling nervous?
  • God’s Mission is Unthwartable and Unstoppable.
    • Where are you most tempted to get distracted from God’s mission for your life?
    • Who is God giving you open doors to minister to?
    • Who are you praying for to come to faith in Christ?
    • Who are you praying for to grow deeper in the faith in Christ?
    • Who are you seeking to encourage in their relationship with Christ?

 PRAY

  • Praise Jesus that His mission will not be stopped.
  • Pray for hearts to grow hungry to know Jesus in our community.
  • Pray for your enemies and those you know who oppose Jesus.
  • Pray for open doors before us to clearly share the Gospel.
  • Confess any distraction you may be living in.
  • Confess any condemnation you feel and Praise the Lord for what you have in Christ Jesus.
  • Pray that the Holy Spirit’s unity and fellowship would reign mightily at FBC.
  • Pray that for each other, that we would live full of the Spirit.
  • Praise the Lord that He is sovereign, and His rule is secure.
  • Confess and entrust yourself and the areas of your life to the Lord.
