The Lord is My – SALVATION
No matter what perils we face in life, God is our Salvation.
(Psalm 38:22) Hurry to help me, Lord, my Savior.
(Psalm 65:5) Answer us in righteousness, with awe-inspiring works, God of our salvation, the hope of all the ends of the earth.
(Psalm 68:19) May the Lord be praised! Day after day He bears our burdens: God is our salvation.
1. Savior
A. Israel knew that failing God always results in the same thing – ruin.
B. David knew that failing God always results in the same thing – pain.
C. Paul knew that failing God always results in the same thing – death.
D. We should know that failing God always requires the same thing – a Savior.
2. Teacher
(Psalm 25:5) Guide me in Your truth and TEACH me, for You are the God of my salvation.
(Psalm 51:8 & 10) Let the bones You have crushed rejoice… God, create a clean heart for me.
A. God saved David’s life.
(Psalm 51:6) Surely You desire integrity in the inner self, and You TEACH me wisdom deep within.
B. God taught David wisdom.
(Psalm 25:5) Guide me in YOUR truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation.
C. God taught David “HIS” wisdom.
3. Helper
A. Being our “Helper” includes more than being our “Savior”
(Psalm 38:22) Hurry to HELP me, Lord, my Savior.
(Psalm 79:9) God of our salvation, HELP us – for the glory of Your name.
B. If God “was” your Savior yesterday, He “is” your helper today.
(Psalm 46:1) God IS our refuge and strength, a HELPER who is ALWAYS found in times of trouble.
4. Bearer
(Psalm 68:19) May the Lord be praised! Day after day He BEARS our burdens: God is our salvation.
A. If you ask God to carry your burden, He’ll do it!
B. With God carrying your burden, you no longer have to.
