“Instead of greeting each other with a Holy Kiss (Romans 16:16),
Greet each other with a Holy Wave (Covid 19)”
(Southern Baptist Convention) “SBC Executive Committee President and CEO Ronnie Floyd, SBC President J. D. Greear, and the SBC Great Commission Council are calling all Southern Baptists throughout more than 47,500 churches to commit to a dedicated time of prayer this Sunday, March 15, 2020.”
(President Donald J. Trump) It’s my great honor to declare Sunday, March 15th, as a National Day of Prayer. We are a country that, throughout our history, has looked to God for protection and strength in times like these. No matter where you may be, I encourage you to turn towards prayer in an act of faith.
The powerful thing we are going to do about Covid 19 is – we are going to PRAY about it!
(Psalm 18:1-6) I love You, Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my mountain where I seek refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I called to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I was saved from my enemies. The ropes of death were wrapped around me; the torrents of destruction terrified me. The ropes of Sheol entangled me; the snares of death confronted me. I called to the Lord in my distress, and I cried to my God for help. FROM HIS TEMPLE HE HEARD MY VOICE, AND MY CRY TO HIM REACHED HIS EARS.
(Hebrews 4:15-16) We do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tested in every way as we are, yet without sin. Therefore, let us approach the throne of grace with BOLDNESS, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us at the proper time.
