The Inseparable Love of Christ
READ
Background: Romans 8:1-30
Passage: Romans 8:31-39
THINK
- Main Point: Nothing can Separate us from the Loving of God in Christ Jesus.
APPLY
Personal Application: Amid our daily life in a broken world, we must remember our value to God as revealed in Christ, our security with God from our justification in Christ, and the greatness of Christ’s love for us.
- We Remember our Value to God
- How does the knowledge that God is unapologetically for you receiving the fullness of His salvation encourage you today?
- How does the reality that God did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for our sins strengthen you today?
- How do these truths push back on any fears you may have about God’s disposition toward you, if you are in Christ?
- We Remember our Security with God
- Do you feel confident and secure in your relationship with God? Or do you feel like things are chaotic and shaky depending upon how well or poor you live?
- Where do you battle condemnation most?
- How can remembering the justification you have in Jesus help you rest in security with God?
- We Remember His Love
- Do you know that Jesus loves you with a sacrificial, perfect, good, love?
- Are you remembering that Jesus’ love for you was revealed before you were ever even saved, as He bore your sin on the cross 2,000 years ago?
- What changes in circumstances are you facing where you need to remember that Jesus loves you and nothing and no one can separate you from Him?
PRAY
- Praise Jesus for your security and beloved position in Him!
- Confess any condemnation you feel and Praise the Lord for what you have in Christ Jesus.
- Pray that the Holy Spirit’s unity and fellowship would reign mightily at FBC.
- Pray that for each other, that we would live full of the Spirit.
- Pray that God would open doors for us to share the gospel and that we would be faithful witnesses.
- Pray for your enemies and those you know who oppose Jesus.
- Praise the Lord that He is sovereign, and His rule is secure.
- Confess and entrust yourself and the areas of your life to the Lord.
