For a First Baptist church we are still pretty young, and while we know that it relative, it never gets old loving on our faith community and the town we are called to serve. We are a multigenerational and diverse church where youth and Young Adults worship alongside and are mentored by our more seasoned Christ followers. Church should not be homogenous, but we are unified in our devotion to Christ.
Our personality is reflected in our motto: “Love Big. Live Bold.” We truly enjoy expressing our love for God through spirited worship and genuine service. And if you love the Lord, or if you’re seeking a personal relationship with Jesus, or if you’re just a fellow-resident of this growing community, then all our ministries are aimed at loving you.

The map below will show you where you need to drop off your kids, special parking for guests (that’s you!), and where buried treasure is (ok, not that one).
Yes we are a First Baptist Church, but we are a pretty relaxed one. Diversity is the one uniform that we have. You’ll see some of the older crowd wearing suits and dresses, but you’ll see many of the young parents wearing, shorts, jeans, polos, and T-shirts.
We currently engage our choir, orchestra, and band to lead worship through a mixture of Traditional songs and Contemporary music. We do not try to blend the 2 styles, but have found a fascinating way to allow both styles to lead in their distinct approaches in a way that is not distracting.
Right when you walk through the West t entrance to the Worship Center, you’ll see the Connection Corner sign. And behind that sign you’ll find that sweet, sweet caffeine relief. You can also find a secondary coffee source in the MPB lobby as well.
When you first come to visit you’ll notice that we have several Policemen on campus to help with foot traffic and security. When you check-in your child at the nursery or the Kids building, you will use our touch screen check-in system, that will print matching labels. That insures we all leave with the right kids :-)
No one likes to ask for this one, so we’ll go ahead and tell you. At either end of the Worship Center foyer you’ll find both men’s and women’s restrooms. Also, to the left in the MPB lobby, you’ll find both bathrooms as well.
Not at all, you’re a guest! In fact, we’d like to give YOU something. When you fill out a Connect Card (found in the bulletin), and turn it in at the Connection Corner, we’ll give you a free gift. What is it you ask? You’ll just have to find out, but it is awesome.
These are a amazing next steps and we know that it might even be a little scary to take them, but we promise that it is worth it. So if you want to take a next step with us, come on down to the front of the worship center during the invitation time after the sermon, and we’ll walk you through it from there. We know that this can be intimidating, but we want the whole church to welcome you to our family and celebrate your big decisions together.
Yes we do! if you sit near the front right pew facing the stage you’ll find an interpreter there.
As the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God, the Bible is our absolute and only source of authority. We believe God is loving enough, honest enough and capable enough to guarantee that we have in our hands a reliable document by which to guide our lives and our church.
God exists eternally in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God, the Father, rules over His created universe and controls human history according to His purpose and grace. Jesus, the Son, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, provided for the redemption of men from sin through His substitutionary death, was raised from the dead and ascended into heaven where He now offers reconciliation between God and man. He is personally, visibly and bodily returning very soon to reign as Lord. The Holy Spirit inspired the writing of Scripture, convicts mankind of sin, righteousness and judgment, indwells in the believer from the moment of salvation, guaranteeing the believer an eternal home in heaven and guiding him/her in understanding truth.
God created each of us to live with Him in heaven throughout eternity. All He ever wanted from us was our love and obedience. But each of us has ruined God’s plan for our lives by living life our own way rather than His way. In the Bible, this is called sin. Every person has sinned, and our sin separates us from God. On the cross, Jesus accepted the blame for all our sin and received all our punishment. The punishment required His death . After three days, He was resurrected and lives today. When a person turns away from their life of sin, turns to Jesus, apologizes to Him for their sin, begs for forgiveness and turns control of their life over to Him to manage, Jesus forgives their lifetime of sin, moves into them with His Holy Spirit and eternally saves them.
The church is made up of those who have given their lives to Christ and have followed Him in Biblical baptism. The Bible refers to the church as the bride of Christ, indicating how very much Christ loves us. The Bible also refers to the church as the body of Christ, indicating how we are to collectively function in carrying out His will. The church is also referred to as “the called out ones” describing how different we are from the society in which we serve. The church is also called “the fellowship” indicating the partnership of love and devotion we have for each other in Christ.
The Bible describes only two ceremonial ordinances, baptism and the Lord’s Supper. The biblical form of baptism is by immersion, after conversion, before the assembled church. The Lord’s Supper is periodically observed by the assembled church to remind us of Christ’s body and blood that He sacrificed on the cross in order to offer us new life.
From the moment of salvation we have three new priorities in life. First, we honor our relationship with Jesus by spending quality time alone with Him daily, by allowing His indwelling Holy Spirit to control our lives, and by actively serving Him. Second we honor our relationship with our families by learning from Scripture how to be Godly husbands, wives and parents. And third, we honor our relationship with Christ’s church (His bride) by faithfully meeting together, fellowshipping with each other, encouraging and ministering to one another.

The only way to have More Meaning to Life is to get to know God- your Creator. You get to know Him only by getting to know His Son, Jesus Christ. So…
You can know God in a personal relationship and have the promise of Heaven when you die. Because God loves you so much, He gives you the opportunity to respond through faith so you can go to heaven when you die.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8 This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
1 Timothy 2:3-4
The only way that God has given for us to know Him and have eternal life is through His Son Jesus.
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perished but have eternal life.
John 3:16
I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.
Acts 4:12
… for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23 But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus. Acts 20:21 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him. John 3:36
…for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:13
Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed on His name, He gave the right to become children of God.
John 1:12
You can ask Jesus to come into your life and save you right now by sincerely praying this prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross and rose again so that I could be forgiven and have eternal life. Please forgive my sins. I turn from my sin and give my life to You. I ask You now to be the Savior and Lord of my life. Thank You for hearing my prayer and giving me Your gift of eternal life. Help me now to live for You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
