 THINK

As Jesus continues to work out His mission and ministry by the Holy Spirit thru the Local Church, He brings discipline that the church might rightly fear Him and remain faithful to Him.

 APPLY

We must fear the Lord and continue to carry out His mission and ministry with faithfulness and fruitfulness.

  • The Fear of the Lord: Trusting, Loving, and Taking God Seriously for WHO He is at WHAT He says.
  • We must live out a holy and honest life.
    • What does holiness look like lived out in your daily life?
    • Are you confident in the power of the Holy Spirit to enable to you live a holy life?
  • We must not play soft with sin.
    • What areas of temptation are attacking you the most?
    • Where are there areas of known sin in your life?
    • Will you confess such sin to the Lord today?
  • We must remain devoted to His Mission and Ministry.
    • How does the fear of the Lord help us remain faithful to the Lord?
    • How does the fear of the Lord make us fruitful in the mission and ministry of Christ?

 PRAY

  • Pray and praise God for who He is: the Sovereign Master of all Creation and Time.
  • Pray for God to take note of our present situation.
  • Pray for God to fill each of us with the Holy Spirit that we would be bold in declaring the Gospel.
  • Pray for doors to open before us to proclaim the hope of Jesus to our families, friends, neighbors, and more.
  • Pray that we would resist the discouragement of the world’s opposition but would set our eyes firmly on Jesus.
  • Pray that we would cheerfully and generously love and care for each other.
  • Pray that we would fear the Lord rightly.
  • Confess any sin.
  • Pray that we would walk in the unity and fellowship of the Holy Spirit – seeking to glorify Jesus and do what He says, how He says, wherever and whenever He leads.
