Passage: Acts 7:54-8:1

 THINK

Main Point: Jesus reigns at the right hand of God. He is exalted in all glory. He stands in honor, support, and vindication of His witnesses.

 APPLY

Personal Application: Being full of the Spirit we must set our eyes to the things above and carry out our witness in His example.

  • We must be Full of the Spirit:
    • How do you live full of the Spirit?
    • Where is the Spirit convicting you that you need to submit?
    • Where is the Spirit leading you that you need to trust?
    • Where do you need to act on the truth of God?
    • How can you better act in the power of the Spirit?
  • We must Set our Eyes to the Things Above: Colossians 3:1-4
    • Where are you tempted to look within or to look around?
    • Why are you tempted to look within or around?
    • How can you practically lift up the eyes of your heart throughout the day? i.e. Remember Scripture, prayer, praise, etc.
  • We must Carry our Witness in His Example: 1 Peter 3:13-16
    • How did Jesus carry out the witness of His life and ministry?
    • What are the most challenging parts of entrusting yourself daily to the power and will of Jesus?
    • How can the sure knowledge that Jesus is at the right hand of God strengthen your ability to entrust yourself fully to Him?
    • Who are your enemies?
    • Are you speaking Truth to them, clearly, with gentleness and respect?
    • How are you loving them and praying for them.

Confess any bitterness or unrighteous anger toward your enemies.

 PRAY

  • Pray that FBC would be a body of believers who are daily growing into a healthier church, walking in and by the Holy Spirit for the glory of Jesus Christ.
  • Pray that the Holy Spirit’s unity and fellowship would reign mightily among us.
  • Pray that for each other, that we would live full of the Spirit.
  • Pray that the eyes of our heart and faith would be set above, where Jesus is at the right hand of God.
  • Pray that we would be faithful witnesses. Pray for your enemies and those you know who oppose Jesus.
  • Praise the Lord that He is sovereign, and His rule is secure.
  • Confess and entrust yourself and the areas of your life to the Lord.
  • Pray that God would open doors for us to proclaim the gospel and that He would add to our number.
