Passage: Acts 7:2-8

 THINK

Main Point: The God of Glory reveals Himself to people and makes a promise for salvation for those who believe.

 APPLY

Personal Application: We must respond to the God of Glory with faith and obedience.

  • We respond to the God of Glory
    • Are you awestruck by the glory of God?
    • How can you better meditate on the glory of God?
    • What is one way you can praise Him for His glory today?
  • We respond to the God of Revelation
    • How does it encourage you to know that God makes Himself clearly known?
    • How might God’s initiative to reveal Himself despite our sinful rebellion calm fears you may have about His leadership or guidance in everyday life?
    • Are you walking by faith out into obedience to God at what He says, how He says it?
  • We respond to the God of Promise
      • What is God’s promise in Christ Jesus?
      • How can we continue to walk in faith with hope while we sojourn in this present world?
      • Are you experiencing the presence of God? Why or why not?
      • What is one way you can thank God for the goodness of His promise in Christ Jesus?

 PRAY

  • Praise God for His glory.
  • Thank God for His goodness and kindness to reveal Himself.
  • Worship God for the greatness of His promise for salvation in Jesus Christ.
  • Pray that FBC would be a body of believers who are daily growing into a healthier church, walking in and by the Holy Spirit for the glory of Jesus Christ in submission to Him at His Word.
  • Pray that the Holy Spirit’s unity and fellowship would reign mightily among us.
  • Pray that for each other, that we would live full of the Spirit.
  • Pray that the eyes of our heart and faith would be set above, where Jesus is at the right hand of God.
  • Pray that we would be faithful witnesses. Pray for your enemies and those you know who oppose Jesus.
  • Praise the Lord that He is sovereign, and His rule is secure.
  • Confess and entrust yourself and the areas of your life to the Lord.
  • Pray that God would open doors for us to proclaim the gospel and that He would add to our number.
