The Revelation and Promise of the God of Glory

Passage: Acts 7:17-34

 THINK

Main Point: The God of Glory is the Lord of history and the Holy One who is faithful and mighty to work out His will and holiness in and thru His people.

 APPLY

Personal Application: We must walk by Faith trusting God’s work in the story of our lives and walking out God’s holiness thru our lives.

  • By Faith we trust the God of History
    • In your current circumstances do you see what God is doing?
    • In your current circumstances are you primarily relating to God in doubt or by faith?
    • How can you praise God for His faithfulness in the story of your life?
    • What do you need to lament before the Lord about what you are currently facing?
    • How can you better take captive your thoughts to trust God with your history?
  • By Faith we walk out God’s holiness thru our lives.
    • What does it mean that God is actively working in your life to conform you in Christ’s image?
    • Where do you find it a challenge to walk out God’s holiness?
    • Is there any sin you need to confess to the Lord?
    • How can fight the temptations to unholiness by remembering that true happiness and joy are find in God’s holiness?
    • Where is God calling you to minister in your daily life?
    • What is one practical step you can take to minister to someone today?

 PRAY

  • Praise God for He is Glorious, Beautiful, Good, Great, and Worthy!
  • Thank God for His goodness and kindness to reveal Himself.
  • Praise God for His greatness to bring about our redemption in Jesus.
  • Adore God for His presence and faithfulness in your life.
  • Praise God for His holiness and active authoring of your life.
  • Pray that our trust would be firmer and that our awareness of God’s presence and work would grow.
  • Pray that the Holy Spirit’s unity and fellowship would reign mightily among us.
  • Pray that for each other, that we would live full of the Spirit.
  • Pray that the eyes of our heart and faith would be set above, where Jesus is at the right hand of God.
  • Pray that we would be faithful witnesses. Pray for your enemies and those you know who oppose Jesus.
  • Praise the Lord that He is sovereign, and His rule is secure.
  • Pray that God would open doors for us to proclaim the gospel and that He would add to our number.
