CELEBRATING FREEDOM
Freedom “should” be celebrated.
(Galatians 5:1 & 13) Christ has liberated us into freedom. Therefore stand firm and don’t submit again to a yoke of slavery… For you are called to freedom, brothers; only don’t use this freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love.
1. Freedom of Religion
A. The pilgrims came to find freedom of religion from strong state pressure.
B. The pilgrims came to deliver their children from perverse moral influences.
2. Freedom from Tyranny
(Galatians 5:1 & 13) Christ has liberated us into freedom. Therefore stand firm and don’t submit again to a yoke of slavery… For you are called to freedom, brothers.
A. Freedom from tyranny was DECLARED by the courage of patriots.
B. Freedom from tyranny was PURCHASED by the blood of patriots.
C. Freedom from tyranny is SUSTAINED by the blood of patriots.
3. Freedom in Christ
A. Jesus is the source of all true freedom.
(John 8:32) “You will know the truth and the truth will set you free.”
B. Our founding fathers recognized this.
C. But we’ve not followed His laws.d
