Face uncertainty trusting God – without all the stress.

FACING UNCERTAINTY

Face uncertainty trusting God – without all the stress.

(Joshua 1:6-9) “Be strong and courageous, for you will distribute the land I swore to their fathers to give them as an inheritance. Above all, be strong and very courageous to carefully observe the whole instruction My servant Moses commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right or the left, so that you will have success wherever you go. This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth; you are to recite it day and night, so that you may carefully observe everything written it. For then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do. Haven’t I commanded you: be strong & courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

1. Be STRONG
A. Don’t be “discouraged”
B. Don’t be “hopeless”

(Psalms 147:10-11) He is not impressed by the strength of a horse; He does not value the power of a man. The Lord values these who fear Him, those who put their HOPE in His faithful love.
(Psalms 39:7) “Now, Lord, what do I wait for? My HOPE is in You.”

2. Be COURAGEOUS
A. Courage comes from Following Scripture.

(1 Chronicles 22:13) Carefully FOLLOW THE STATUTES and ordinances the Lord commanded Moses for Israel. Be strong and COURAGEOUS. Don’t be afraid…

B. Courage comes from Hoping in God.

(Psalms 31:24) Be strong and COURAGEOUS, all you who put hour HOPE in the Lord.

C. Courage comes from Waiting on God.

(Psalms 27:14) WAIT for the Lord; be COURAGEOUS and let your heart be strong. WAIT for the Lord.

D. Courage comes from Each Other.

(Acts 28:14-15) And so we came to Rome. Now THE BELIEVERS from there had heard the news about us and had come to meet us from as far as Forum of Appius and Three Taverns. When Paul saw them, he thanked God and TOOK COURAGE.

3. Be GUARDED
A. You are being guarded.
B. You are being guarded by God.

(Joshua 1:9c) “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

C. We get to hold onto God – alone.

(Romans 8:31, 35, 37-39) What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us?… Who can separate us from the love of Christ? Can affliction or anguish or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?… No, in all these things we are more than victorious through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that [nothing] will have the power to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord!
