Father's, here are some important Promises you can make to encourage your children.
1. PROMISE to show your children that you love their Mother.
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the Church and gave Himself up for her.” Eph. 5:25
2. PROMISE to take time to listen.
“Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak & slow to become angry.” James 1:19
3. PROMISE to be the spiritual pacesetter for the family.
“These commandments are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deut. 6:6,7
4. PROMISE to seek opportunities to give your children feelings of belonging.
“Children are a gift of the Lord; The fruit of the womb is a reward.” Ps. 127:3
5. PROMISE to express words of appreciation and praise.
“See that you do not look down on one of these little ones.” Matt. 18:10
6. PROMISE to spend time with them.
“Be very careful, then, how you live making the most of every opportunity.” Eph. 5:15,16
